Those who consider Don Imus' "Over the Top" routine which is long and gone from his "NEW RADIO SHOW", was not a racist at all. As you explained it so very well. Don may say offensive things at times to some people, but it is a Comedy Show. Not a News program.

Michael Richards should have sued the individual who taped his rant, which was "Way over the Line". But when you pay to see him, what do you expect. A Story about the Bible?

This Country and certain groups/individuals who never listened to Imus, got their undies in a bunch over 3 words uttered at 6:14AM on April 4, 2007. And as you call him, Reverend Sharpdon is really "The Right Reverend Sharp-Tongue". Who has not a leg to stand on because of his racist's views on everything and anything.

He has "Mr. Sharp-Tongue" become insignificant in the months following Imus' return. With Obama doing well and his views on Hillary "SATAN" Clinton, he has no place to talk about his issues. Thus he is dead in the water. And as many African/Americans have said, who do like Imus, he is not the leader of Black People now or was he in the past.

Thank you for your fair post on the subject.

He's toast, I think. We are just now finding out who this guy really is. He was so adept at hiding his real nature. We are lucky to have found out who he is before the national electionl

It's not just security,it's the whole 'nanny-state' mentality. People in this country, instead of getting busy and making a better life for themselves are sitting back chirping like baby birds waiting for the government to shovel food into their mouths. It is sickening.

Mostly what I see is that Americans want to be taken care of by our government. We want the government to provide security even at the cost of a few freedoms now. Little to these folks know, security is an illusion. Russia and Nazi Germany arrested and killed people in the name of security and it turned out to be a serious threat to their own people's security. We need to return to the philosophy of responsibility and self-reliance.

Exactly why we need a line item veto.

I know that I am planning my next trip to Vegas just to see the Postal Museum. I wonder if there is anything else of interest to do out there.

Of course, a line item veto won't do us any good if the president with the pen thinks that government is supposed to take care of all us poor slobs who can't seem to take care of ourselves.
